“Citizen service is the very American idea that we meet our challenges not as isolated individuals but as members of a true community, with all of us working together. Our mission is nothing less than to spark a renewed sense of obligation, a new sense of duty, a new season of service.” – Bill Clinton
The mission of the East Atlanta Beautification Committee is to create a more pleasing environment within our community through the association, cooperation, and coordination of individuals, organizations, and businesses by promoting and supporting the campaign of Beautification, Enhancement, Preservation, and Rehabilitation within East Atlanta—this is—Our Community, Our Neighborhood, Our Streets, Our Home.
The East Atlanta Beautification Committee is an all-volunteer group. The committee is dedicated to the betterment of East Atlanta through beautification and on-going enhancement efforts within our community. The amazing people who participate in this program are much more than volunteers; they are caring leaders of the community and stewards of natural beauty. They are people who lead by example and their efforts can be seen throughout East Atlanta and East Atlanta Village.
Although our mission is to create a more pleasing environment through beautification and enhancement, our goal is to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility that will result in an improvement across our community.
Everyone deserves to live in a community environment that is healthy, clean, and beautiful. However, this cannot be achieved through the efforts of the few, but through the involvement of many. It is our civic duty as residence of East Atlanta to work together to enhance and maintain the cleanliness and visual beauty of our area.
