March of Dimes - Jennifer Cobb
- Cobb explained the mission of March of Dimes and why its mission is important to everyone
- March of Dimes is throwing a Signature Chef's auction (first time for Atlanta) on Thursday October 25th from 6:30-9:30 at Zoo Atlanta, featuring food from well known restaurants and chefs in Atlanta. Around one hundred items will be available for bid in silent and live auctions. Tickets are $100 each or $200 for patron level, table of 10 for $1000, patron table for $1500. Atlanta councilwoman Natalyn Archibong
- The Zoning department's Neighborhood Deputy training program is October 27th - register by Oct 19th. Call the councilwoman's office for more information, 404-330-6048
- Public Safety – co-sponsoring legislation mandating that graduates from police academy go directly to serve in the Zones on foot and bicycle patrol. Zone 6 will be the pilot program.
- There are eleven vacancies for police officers in Zone 6. She will be working with Major Propes to fill those spots in the near future
- In certain parts of Atlanta, 911 calls on cell phones don't go to Atlanta which causes confusion. Instead use 404-658-6666 on your cell phone, it routes directly to the Atlanta 911 dispatch system.

- 2040 Braeburn Circle - special use permit - case deferred as property owner and neighbors continue to negotiate
- Shadowridge and Ormewood - site plan under further review and revision following City of Atlanta's identification of 75 foot setback from stream on property. Application has been deferred until March 2008.
- LCI study for south Moreland Avenue (I-20 to Confederate Avenue) - steering committee first meeting Thursday October 18
- Beltline study groups are starting up, looking at specific development areas, see http://www.beltlinecommunity.org for more information
- NC Rezoning effort for Bouldercrest Triangle continues to move forward. Draft of letter to property owners has been prepared for next step of getting community support.

- In second round of getting $50,000 matching grant from Woodruff foundation for implementing Brownwood Park master plan
- Hands on Atlanta Weekend - 130 volunteers showed up on October 6th. Work included new flower gardens, bollards, hopscotch boards, planting bed winterization, lots of cleanup.

- extra personnel approved for service in Zone 6
- arrested suspects tied to 27 burglaries and 25 prior arrests respectively
