Atlanta PD Report
- broke up chop shop / drug house on Bouldercrest/Stallings
- 2 drug arrests near Bouldcrest and Winfield
- 3 burglaries - near Bouldercrest and Clifton
- larceny / vehicles - clearly visible objects
- 19 speeding citations on Moreland
- put speed detector sign on Flat Shoals

Atlanta Fire Department report
- AFD has radon test kits at station
- Community Emergency Response Team program offered by AFD. trains in light search and rescue, fire prevention, etc. Contact Bill May 404-853-7097.
- The property for the new fire station is allegedly ready

MARTA Inner Core Transit / Beltline / C Loop
- Meetings on Feb. 15 and end of month

EAV Streetscape - Corby Hannah
- Met with EABA, City says ready to get going. Design meeting on Thurs.

Pro limits - phase 1a
- Includes street furniture, trash cans, sidewalk, tree replacement
- awaiting signoff from mayor (formality)
- project is scheduled to last 15 weeks, revised schedule to be presented at the design meeting
- will start at Metropolitan end, will do do both left and right sides at same time
- Question - mid-block crosswalk, will be answered at deisgn meeting
- Question - parking meters - still in process, not on table for streetscape, city/council aware of community concerns

- Questions about current work at McWilliams and Marbut
- Work is sewer rehab, "pipe bursting", rehabilition replacing clay pipes with polymer pipes
- City does get easement for private property before doing any work
- Question from resident concerned about the effect of the work, how the work is being done, and who is in charge onsite
- Affected residents should be getting letters / door hangings

Notoberfest - Alan Raines
- report on 2004 festival
- will be applying for 2005 permit in March
- forecast for 500, 800 people paid

- Spent: $17,513, revenue on rental tables: $4000, gate charges: $17,586
- Made $4073, After yearly Story advertising commitment lost $427
- Made goals, covered cost on ads, mkting for EAV, punch to EAV that night
- Apologised for not reporting timely
- trying for more sponsorship in 2005, radio / CL presence
- goal is promotion of EAV / yearly adv campaign
- shooting for 1500 attendence in 2005

Treasurer's Report
- Old business - 2nd vote to approve 2005 budget - passed 30-0-0
- Q on EACA policy on minimum amount for non-budgeted amounts: Items under $100 can be passd by one vote of executive committee.

- Got some small amount of funding to outreach and community surveying, will bring back next month at EACA

- All EACA approved
- 1071 Fayetteville Rd - approved, strong committee oppposition - EACA/LUZ working

    - the Piedmont Park Master Plan

- Deferred at NPU-W for developer-neighbors meeting
- Question from resident about what will happen if rezoning turned down

Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church
- open meeting Feb 19th 9:30am, to show plans for development for 36.5 acres
- Church, senior living facility, mixed use

Public Safety, John Hays
- TNT store on Bouldercrest, owner charged 17 violations, court date isMarch 17th

Liquor license applications
- I Love Thai, adding liquor, passes 24-0-1

- 1245 Glenwood (Motorcycle Graveyard / Graveyard Tavern)
- presentation by owners Jim Brooks, George Nechos
- has had some trouble with city permitting
- 5000 sq ft, can seat 250 people
- full service restaurant, casual neighborhood atmosphere

- will offer brunch Saturday and Sunday
- application is for full liquor/beer/wine
- Aiming for opening by summer
- Question about keeping property clean - parking lot behind not owned by them - will be diligent about keeping area clean, well lighted, safe
